Saturday Clean Up Photos
Looking west toward creek from Seventh Ave. The tornado followed the creek, twisting trees, snapping off limbs and splintering trunks as it passed with only a few yards of these houses.
Looking west. Bringing down a big oak just inside Hickory Hill Park just off Seventh Ave.
Heading northeast along Seventh Ave. Clean up well underway. In fact, a few enterprising folks were taking the opportunity to clean out their garages. I saw one homeowner wheel an old lathe out to the curb.
Pink fiberglass insulation was in the trees all over town. Some of it as far south as Bowery St. This sapling and the house were about 30 yards from the creek in the background.
Looking north from Seventh Ave. Screen door caught up in tree. Pink fiberglass insulation flocking the trees in the background.
Looking north, entrance to Hickory Hill Park. The tornado continued heading northeast but was beginning to lose power.
